BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Serb Republic government said on Monday it has adopted a 2010 budget draft, setting both spending and revenue targets at 1.6 billion marka ($1.2 billion/818 million euro), flat with this year’s revised fiscal plan.
As part of a 36-month $1.52 billion (1.09 billion euro) stand-by loan approved by the IMF in July, Bosnia has agreed to keep budget spending next year at the 2009 level.
The Serb Republic said in July it will cut its 2009 balanced budget by 4.2% to 1.6 billion marka in line with the IMF deal.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous parts forming post-war Bosnia. The other is the Muslim-Croat Federation. They have separate governments, parliaments and budgets. There is a weak central government linking them.
