Bosnia Serb Republic 9-mo tourist numbers up 2.4% - table

October 29 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Bosnia's Serb Republic in the first nine months of 2012 totalled 182,874, up by 2.4% on the year, official figures showed on Monday.

The number of overnights rose by an annual 4.7% to 491,885 through September, data from the website of the Serb Republic's Statistics Office indicated.

Most foreign tourists visiting the Serb Republic came from neighbouring Serbia, followed by tourists from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Italy.

In September alone, tourist numbers edged up by 0.4% on the year to nearly 22,500, and overnights went up by an annual 1.2% to some 58,833.

The Serb Republic and the Muslim-Croat Federation are the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina.
