October 27 (SeeNews) - Following is a schedule of corporate, economic and political events taking place in or related to Bosnia and Herzegovina through January 9. New or amended entries are marked (*).

Bosnia Schedule of Events - Oct 27 - Jan 9

* Monday, October 27 – Sarajevo: The upper chamber of Bosnia’s central parliament to hold a session; expected to ratify, among other things, the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) between Bosnia and the EU signed in June.

* Monday, October 27 – Sarajevo: South East Europe’s Regional Cooperation Council and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to host a two-day meeting of the Electronic South East Europe (eSEE) Initiative Working Group and the Broadband South East Europe Taskforce (bSEE).

* Monday, October 27 – Prague (Czech Republic): The top international peace envoy in Bosnia, Miroslav Lajcak, to meet high-level Czech government officials; to present the current political situation in Bosnia and outline policy priorities ahead of the Czech presidency of the EU that starts on January 1.

* Monday, October 27 – Kuwait City (Kuwait): The chairman of Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, Haris Silajdzic, starts a three-day visit to Kuwait; to meet top government officials and sign an agreement on the evasion of double taxation.

Wednesday, October 29 - Brcko: The 7th international business fair Brcko 2008 opens. (to November 2)

Thursday, October 30 - Sarajevo: Bosnian power transmission posts producer Energoinvest TDS to hold a shareholders’ meeting. (1100 GMT)

Friday, October 31 - Sarajevo: Bosnia’s biggest telco, state-controlled BH Telecom, continues its shareholders’ meeting begun on September 29. (0900 GMT)

Monday, November 3 - Gacko: Bosnian coal mine and power plant complex Gacko to hold a shareholders’ meeting. (1100 GMT)

Thursday, November 13 - Zagreb (Croatia): The first regional economic forum of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) member countries opens. (to September 15)

Tuesday, November 18 - Sarajevo: Bosnia’s Prime Communications agency organises a one-day regional conference on public relations, Sarajevo PR Open.

Thursday, November 20 - Sarajevo: Bosnia’s Peace Implementation Council (PIC), which comprises representatives of all countries and international organisations involved in the peace process in Bosnia, to hold a two-day session.

Friday, November 21: Day of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement that ended the 1992-95 war in Bosnia; public and market holiday in the Serb Republic.

Tuesday, November 25: Statehood Day; public and market holiday in the Muslim-Croat Federation.

Tuesday, December 2 - Sofia (Bulgaria): The 2nd southeast Europe Financial Services Forum, organised by SeeNews, opens.

Monday, December 8: Bosnian Muslims celebrate Kurban Bajram (Eid al-Adha); public and market holiday in the Muslim-dominated parts of Bosnia. (to December 9)

Wednesday, December 24: Bosnian Croats celebrate Catholic Christmas Eve; public holiday in the Croat-dominated parts of Bosnia.

Thursday, December 25: Bosnian Croats celebrate Catholic Christmas; public holiday in the Croat-dominated parts of Bosnia (to December 26) and market holiday in the Muslim-Croat Federation.
