Bosnia Federation Sept Industrial Output Falls 16.2% Y/Y, Down 3.3% M/M - Table

October 15 (SeeNews) - The industrial output of Bosnia's Muslim-Croat Federation in September fell by 16.2% year-on-year and was 3.3% down on the month, official statistics indicated on Thursday.

In the first nine months of 2009 the Federation's industrial output shrank by 11.2%, the statistics office said in a statement.

The Federation is one of the two autonomous parts forming Bosnia. The other part is the Serb Republic.

The output of durable consumer goods fell by an annual 22.4% in September. Non-durable consumer goods production was 3.6% lower and production of semi-finished goods was down 18%. Production of capital goods dropped by an annual 50.6%, while energy output decreased by 17.9% in September.

Mining industry output in the Federation decreased by a yearly 6.6% in September. The processing industry index declined by 15.1%, while the supply of electricity, gas and water slid by 26%, the statistics office said.

The industrial output of the Federation rose by 7.9% last year after increasing by 9.1% in 2007.
