Bosnia Federation Aug Industrial Output Falls 10% Y/Y, Down 2.2% M/M - Table

September 21 (SeeNews) - The industrial output of Bosnia's Muslim-Croat Federation in August fell by 10% year-on-year and was 2.2% down on the month, official statistics indicated on Monday.

In the first eight months of 2009 the Federation's industrial output shrank by 10.5% on the year, the statistics office said in a statement.

The Federation is one of the two autonomous parts forming Bosnia. The other part is the Serb Republic.

The output of durable consumer goods fell by an annual 16.5% in August. Non-durable consumer goods production was 4.2% lower and production of semi-finished goods was down 21.1%. Production of capital goods dropped by an annual 41.3%, while energy output rose by 1.4% in August.

Mining industry output in the Federation decreased by a yearly 3.6% in August. The processing industry index declined by 16%, while the supply of electricity, gas and water increased by 3.1%, the statistics office said.

The industrial output of the Federation rose by 7.9% last year after increasing by 9.1% in 2007.
