November 25 (SeeNews) - Bosnia-based IT services provider BS Telecom Solutions said it has established a joint venture company in the United States with retired US Army lieutenant general Michael Barbero in order to expand its international business.
The new company called BS Smart Solutions adds an US unit to existing companies in Bosnia, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia, BS Telecom Solutions told SeeNews in an emailed statement last week.
"I am positive that BS Smart Solutions will be a great success as we build upon the quality of products, services, and past performance to meet our ambitious goals for continued international expansion of our business," Barbero said in the statement.
"Our focus is to build on our success in current markets and to develop new markets across the European Union, the Middle East and, of course, in the US," he added.
In addition to entering the joint venture, Barbero will also serve as a senior advisor to BS Telecom Solutions CEO Mirza Varatanovic.
BS Telecom Solutions was founded in 2002 and has profiled itself as a manufacturer, supplier and integrator of complete telecommunication and information systems, according to data published on the website of the company
BS Telecom Solutions, one of the leading Intelligent Transport System (ITS) software, IoT and smart city solutions companies in the region, also said in the statement its revenue will triple year-on-year in 2019, with exports growing five times compared to 2018. It did not provide figures.
