- Chinese companies are interested in investing in all sectors in Bosnia’s Serb Republic and especially in construction and development of road infrastructure, the Chinese Ambassador to Bosnia, Liu Wenxin, said.

- The Serb Republic railways operator Zeljeznica RS said it has decided to seek a 225 million euro loan for the construction of 320 kilometres of fast speed railways. The operator’s Director General Petko Stanojevic said a tender for the construction works will be opened in a month.

- The Serb Republic's gross domestic product rose by a preliminary 6.2% in 2008 to 8.84 billion marka or 5,906 marka per capita, the Republic’s Statistics Agency said.

- Bosnia could need some 10 million euro for the translation of 150,000 pages of EU legislation into its three official languages – Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian, Bosnia’s Directorate for EU Integration said.
