November 10 (SeeNews) - Bosch.IO Bulgaria, a unit of German group Robert Bosch, plans to increase its staff by 30% by the end of this year, a company official told SeeNews on Thursday.
The unit currently employs 200.
Bosch.IO Bulgaria, which is focused on Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) projects, has significantly expanded its activities through the development of software in different product areas, the company's press officer told SeeNews in an email.
In 2021, another unit of the group, Bosch Engineering Centre Sofia, increased its staff by 21% to 500.
The German group plans to invest 10 billion euros ($10.15 billion) in digitalisation globally by 2025. Over the next ten years, the group will be partnering with US giant IBM in the field of quantum computing, aiming to find surrogates for the precious metals and rare earths in carbon-neutral powertrains- in the electric motor and the fuel cell.
