October 8 (SeeNews) - German automotive parts and consumer goods group Bosch said on Tuesday it opened an engineering centre in the Bulgarian capital Sofia.
The new centre will employ nearly 200 people who will be developing innovative software solutions for the automotive industry, the company said in a statement.

"This investment is part of the dynamic development of Bosch's software business in Bulgaria," Konstantin Konov, managing director of the new centre, said.
The centre in Sofia will work in close cooperation with Bosch's engineering centres in Hungary and Romania, as well as with leading automotive companies.
In a separate statement, Bulgaria's government said on Tuesday that Bosch's new engineering centre will employ over 500 people by 2023.
In 2018, Bosch grew its sales in Bulgaria by 19% to 104 million euro ($114.3 million).
