Block deal in drug maker Krka boosts Slovenian bourse turnover

August 18 (SeeNews) - Turnover on the Slovenian stock exchange rose on Friday, as the bulk was generated by a block deal in the shares of drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG], stock exchange data showed.

Krka generated a turnover of 6.0 million euro ($7.0 million), including a 5.6 million euro block deal for 100,000 shares. Krka shares rose the most among blue chips on Friday, closing 1.49% higher at 55.75 euro.

Total trading turnover on the LJSE increased to 6.27 million euro on Friday from 644,700 euro on Thursday.

The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on LJSE, rose 0.65% to 810.23 points, after edging down 0.03% on Thursday.

Logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] fell the most among blue chips, as it closed 4.13% lower at 1.811 euro.
