Billa, part of Germany's REWE Group, plans to end 2012 with 71 stores in Romania by adding another ten stores to its network, Bucharest-based daily Ziarul Financiar (www.zf.ro) reported, quoting Billa Romania director general Sorana Georgia.
She said the retailer has decided to keep up its expansion pace next year as consumption in Romania started to recover in 2012 following three years of contraction.
Georgia said that the company expects to post turnover growth this year.
Billa Romania's tunover fell 2.0% to 266 million euro ($337 million) in 2011, Ziarul Financiar said.
