The new retail facility is located in the village of Graf Ignatievo, near the second-largest city of Plovdiv and raises to four the number of Today stores in the country, Billa Bulgaria said in a press release. More than 20 new jobs were created.
Billa Today stores typically spread over an area of 450 sq m to 600 sq m, and focus on offering fresh and cooked foods. The supermarket retailer opened its first Billa Today store in Plovdiv last month.
Earlier on Thursday, Billa Bulgaria also announced the opening of its third supermarket in the northern city of Shumen.
