Belgrade stock indices close mixed, T-bonds boost turnover

May 17 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.10% lower at 990.17 points on Friday, as insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] paced the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.

Dunav closed 0.43% lower at 925 dinars.

There were no gainers among the blue-chip components on Friday.

Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the day's largest turnover. A total of 1,586 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 1.4 million dinars. NIS closed 0.12% lower at 859 dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index rose, closing 0.11% higher at 2,194.04 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 117.4 million dinars ($1.1 million/1 million euro) on Friday from 4 million dinars on Thursday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 114.7 million dinars of Friday's turnover.

Between May 13 and May 17 the BELEX15 fell 0.60% while the BELEXline declined 0.23%. Total trading turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange rose to 159.5 million dinars this week, from 131.5 million dinars last week.
