Belgrade Share Indices Recover, Turnover Swells

BELGRADE (Serbia), September 4 (SeeNews) – Belgrade share indices turned higher on Friday as turnover rose sharply, bourse data showed.
 
The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange climbed 2.21% to 693.50 points after edging down 0.93% on Thursday. The broader BELEXline index added 1.49% to 1,341.28 points after ticking down 0.79% a day earlier.

Belgrade Share Indices Recover, Turnover Swells

The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna advanced 2.30% to 318.63 on Friday.

The Belgrade bourse's total turnover jumped to 81 million dinars ($1.2 million/866,751 euro) from 33 million dinars on Thursday. Trade in government securities increased ten-fold to 12 million dinars on Friday.

Serbian commercial bank Jubmes Banka edged up 0.29% to 16,047 dinars in the session’s highest turnover of 26 million dinars.

Blue-chip lender AIK Banka gained 2.79% to 2,509 dinars in the session’s second highest turnover of 7.8 million dinars.

Blue-chip engineering holding company Energoprojekt added 2.47% to 911 dinars in the third highest turnover of 6.0 million dinars on Friday.

Serbian wine, spirits and juice producer Vino Zupa was Friday’s biggest winner, advancing 9.60% to 6,795 dinars.

Machine building company Progres was the session's top decliner, plunging 3.30% to 88 dinars.

Shares of 26 companies gained on Friday, while 11 fell and 13 remained unchanged.
