Belgrade Share Indices Mostly Extend Positive Run, Turnover Drops

BELGRADE (Serbia), September 14 (SeeNews) – Belgrade share indices ended mostly in positive territory in lower turnover on Monday, stock exchange data showed.

The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange rose 1.0% to 791.01 points after advancing 3.04% on the last working day before the weekend.

The broader BELEXline index also climbed 1.0% to 1,479.55 points after adding 2.38% on Friday.

The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna fell 0.60% to 353.92 on Monday.

The Belgrade bourse's total turnover fell to 119 million dinars ($1.9 million/1.3 million euro) from 132 million on Friday. Trade in government securities dropped to 9.0 million dinars from 19.2 million dinars before the weekend.

Blue-chip lender AIK Banka was again the most traded company on Monday. Its shares edged up 0.49% to 3,085 dinars in a turnover of 38 million dinars.

Road builder Vojvodinaput posted the session’s second highest turnover of 19.5 million dinars. Shares remained flat at 9,000 dinars.

Blue-chip soybean producer, Sojaprotein, shed 0.31% to 1,291 dinars in Monday’s third highest turnover of 7.4 million dinars.

Serbian wine maker Vino Zupa was the day's biggest gainer, soaring 15.14% to 9,200 dinars.

Chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija was the biggest loser on Monday, tumbling 5.79% to 5,612 dinars.

Gainers outnumbered losers 31 to 22, while the shares of 19 companies ended unchanged.
