November 5 (SeeNews) - Belgrade share indices edged down in lower volumes on Thursday, stock exchange data showed.

Belgrade Share Indices Edge Down, Turnover Slumps

The Belgrade bourse's blue-chip BELEX15 index retreated 0.60% to 766.09 points after advancing 1.93% on Wednesday.

The broader BELEXline index slid 0.35% to 1,465.26 points after adding 1.0% on Wednesday.

The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna fell 1.28% to 342,26 on Thursday.

Total turnover slumped to 62.2 million dinars ($661,867/985,387 euro) from 1.29 billion dinars on Wednesday when AIK Banka generated a turnover of 1.2 billion dinars. The blue chip bank edged up 0.35% to 2,866 dinars in Thursday's largest turnover of 20.1 million dinars.

Fodder producer Veterinarski Zavod fell 3.88% to 570 dinars in the session’s second largest turnover of 18.3 million dinars.

Univerzal Banka, which led the decliners, followed with a turnover of 10.8 million dinars. The bank's shares dropped 5.10% to 7,425 dinars.

Blue-chip engineering and telecommunications company Telefonija was the day’s biggest advancer. Its stock soared 6.04% to 2,090 dinars.

Decliners outnumbered gainers 18 to 13, while the shares of 23 companies remained flat on Thursday.
