Belgrade share indices drop, NIS leads daily turnover

November 20 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Belgrade Stock Exchange dropped on Wednesday in subdued trading, as oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] dominated the daily turnover, bourse data showed.

The shares of blue chip NIS fell 0.99% to 700 dinars in a 3.5 million dinars of turnover, the highest for the day.

Engineering group Energoprojekt Holding [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip losers on Wednesday, shedding 3.82% to 654 dinars.

Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] was the sole blue-chip gainer for the day, adding 2.36% to 6,500 dinars.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the bourse, ended the session 0.28% lower at 764.08 points, after edging down 0.03% on Tuesday.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, dropped 0.05% to 1,650.95 after closing 0.35% up on Tuesday.

The total trading turnover of the Belgrade Stock Exchange declined to 8.7 million dinars ($81,800/74,000 euro) on Wednesday, from Tuesday's 10.3 million dinars, as 85 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 700,600 dinars.

No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
