The blue-chip BELEX15 index closed up 2.04% at 538.42 points after adding 6.95% on Thursday. Its weekly rise is 12.29% but since the beginning of the year the global financial crisis has knocked some 76% off the benchmark index.
The composite BELEXline index gained 1.49% to 1,161.92 points on Friday, posting a weekly increase of 7.22%. The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna ticked up 0.43% to 258.09.
Total BELEX turnover slipped to 123 million dinars ($2.0 million/1.4 million euro) from 134 million dinars on Thursday. The total weekly turnover, however, is 20.22% higher.
Mineral water bottling company Voda Vrnjci surged 12.63% to 7,999 dinars in 29 million dinars of turnover, the highest for the day. Blue chip Univerzal Banka soared 13.87% to 12,116 dinars in 16 million dinars of turnover, second highest on Friday.
On Friday, gainers outnumbered fallers by 30 to 24, while 28 stocks remained unchanged.
