Belgrade bourse share indices end mixed, NIS tops turnover list

December 21 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices closed mixed, bourse data showed.

A total of 846 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 571,700 dinars. NIS closed up 0.15% at 676 dinars.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, closed the flat at 808.92 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, edged up 0.01% at 1,761.01.

The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 253.1 million dinars ($2.3 million/2.2 million euro) on Wednesday, up from 111.6 million dinars on Tuesday, as 55 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 2.3 million dinars.

Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 249.4 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
