The rehabilitation of the airport's longest taxiway is set to get underway on March 1 and it will be followed by the construction of additional parking space for aircraft which will have the size of four football fields, the ministry said in a statement issued after transport minister Milutin Mrkonjic attended the signing of a deal for the supply of passenger boarding bridges with China's Shenzhen CIMC-TianDA Airport Support.

Under the 2.19 million euro contract, the Chinese company will deliver six passenger boarding bridges to the airport operator.
