BELEX15 sheds 0.32%, turnover soars

February 26 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.32% lower at 931.88 points on Monday, dragged down by losses in industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] and Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO], bourse data showed.

Messer shed 2.11% to 24,124 dinars in a volume of 253 shares. Aerodrom closed 1.37% lower at 1,800 dinars.

At the same time, construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] led the blue-chip gainers, adding 6.69% to 7,468 dinars. A total of 15,457 Jedinstvo shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 115.4 million dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index closed in positive territory - up 0.48% to 2,023.73 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 304.8 million dinars ($2.8 million/2.6 million euro) on Monday from 23.8 million dinars on Friday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 29.4 million dinars of Monday's turnover.
