BELEX15 sheds 0.14%, T-bonds boost turnover

May 10 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.14% lower at 996.15 points on Friday, dragged down by losses in insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] and oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], bourse data showed.

Dunav closed 0.82% lower at 963 dinars. A total of 288 Dunav shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 277,296 dinars.

NIS closed 0.11% lower at 873 dinars.

There were no gainers among the blue-chip components on Friday.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also fell, closing 0.08% lower at 2,199.14 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 112.9 million dinars ($1 million/963,900 euro) on Friday from 3.8 million dinars on Thursday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 111.6 million dinars of Friday's turnover.

Between May 7 and May 10 the BELEX15 fell 0.90% while the BELEXline declined 0.42%. Total trading turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange rose to 131.5 million dinars this week, from 13.6 million dinars last week.
