BELEX15 adds 0.98%, Metalac surges

December 11 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange, the BELEX15, closed 0.98% higher at 880.71 points on Monday, backed by gains in cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC], bourse data showed.

Metalac added 9.31% to 1,585 dinars. A total of 134 Metalac shares were traded in a turnover of 212,390 dinars.

Another blue chip, oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], appreciated 0.63% to 804 dinars. A total of 327 NIS shares were traded in a turnover of 262,940 dinars.

Insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] shed 1.33% to 964 dinars. A total of 431 Dunav shares changed hands in a turnover of 415,493 dinars generating the day's largest turnover.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also rose - by 1.54% to 1,904.55 points.

The total turnover of the Belgrade bourse rose to 9.4 million dinars ($86,600/80,500 euro) on Monday from 1.1 million dinars on Friday. There was no trading in Treasury bonds on Monday.
