Begrade bourse BELEX15 sheds 0.14%, T-bonds boost turnover

May 30 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.14% lower at 995.00 points on Thursday, dragged down by losses in oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], bourse data showed.

NIS lost 0.71% to 842 dinars. A total of 14,177 NIS shares changed hands, generating the day's largest turnover of 11.9 million dinars.

There were no gainers among the blue-chip components on Thursday.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed 0.03% lower at 2,203.59 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 559.6 million dinars ($5.2 million/4.8 million euro) on Thursday from 6.9 million dinars on Weednesday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 543.4 million dinars of Thursday's turnover.
