Banja Luka Bourse Indices End Week Higher, Turnover Up

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 18 (SeeNews) - The share indices of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) ended the week up in higher turnover, bourse data showed on Friday.

Banja Luka Bourse Indices End Week Higher, Turnover Up

No weekly trading data was available by 1610 GMT on Friday on the website of Bosnia's larger bourse, the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE).

Turnover on the BLSE rose to 1.6 million marka this week from 1.3 million marka last week.

The benchmark BIRS index of the BLSE closed at 1,004.32 points on Friday, up 1.12% from a week earlier. The BLSE investment fund index, FIRS, rose by a weekly 7.14% to 2,077.73.

The most liquid stock on BLSE's official market was telco Telekom Srpske which traded in a turnover of 486,450 marka ($365,000/248,700 euro). It closed at an average weighted price of 1.39 marka on Friday, up 2.96% from a week earlier.

Among the investment funds traded on the BLSE, ZIF Kristal Invest Fond posted the highest turnover this week of 99,327 marka. The stock's average weighted price was 6.65 marka on Friday, up 10.83% from a week earlier.

BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of Bosnia's two autonomous parts. SASE is based in the other part, the Muslim-Croat Federation.
