Banja Luka bourse indices end lower in week to Dec 26

BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 26 (SeeNews) – The share indices of the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) ended lower this week, bourse data indicated on Friday.

The benchmark index of the BLSE, the BIRS, fell 0.67% from last Friday to 708.18 points.

The bourse's investment fund index, the FIRS, declined by 1.33% from last week to 1,735,56 points.

BLSE’s total weekly turnover jumped to 21.3 million marka ($13.3 million/10.1 million euro) this week from 1.8 million marka a week earlier.

Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] generated the biggest weekly turnover of 141,929 marka on BLSE's official market this week. The average price at which the stock traded this week was 1.52 marka, down by 6.17% from a week earlier.

The BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Muslim-Croat Federation.

The Sarajevo Stock Exchange, based in the Federation, did not publish a weekly stock report as it is closed for the Christmas holidays.
