Avanti Communications Group Signs Broadband Distribution Deal With Albania-based Starsat

December 2 (SeeNews) - UK satellite operator Avanti Communications Group said it has signed a 135,000 British pound ($200,000/158,000 euro) broadband distribution deal with Starsat, a service provider in Albania.

The contract is for three years, Avanti said in a statement posted on its website.

Starsat previously signed a wholesale contract, and is now making a separate commitment to the capacity in order to provide communications services to a financial services company, the statement added.

Avanti Communication Group (www.avantiplc.com) is the only licensed fixed satellite services operator in the UK, out of eight such groups in Europe. The company sells satellite broadband services to wholesale customers, enterprises and international markets.

Starsat, a group of Dutch companies headquartered in Tirana, offer wireless broadband Internet communiction in the Western Balkan country.
