March 29 (SeeNews) - A total of 32,816 hectares were put to wheat in Bosnia's Serb Republic in the 2023 autumn sowing, down 24.8% year-on-year, the entity's statistical office said.
Area sown with barley last autumn covered 8,184 hectares, down 6.9% on an annual comparison basis, the statistical office said earlier this month.
Area sown with rye rose 89.1% to 747 hectares, with oat fell 2.9% to 5,038 hectares and with rape seed declined 39% to 1,145 hectares.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
