“Bringing Wonder Dynamics into the Autodesk Media & Entertainment portfolio extends our history of empowering artists with innovative and accessible solutions that break down barriers to entry,” the head of Autodesk's Media & Entertainment department, Diana Colella, said in a company statement earlier this week.
"Wonder Studio is highly compatible with other popular 3D tools including Autodesk Maya, helping artists more easily animate, light, and compose 3D characters within live-action scenes," the statement read.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Novi Sad-based Wonder Dynamics makes the visual effects process more accessible and affordable by developing AI and machine learning tools that allow filmmakers to produce visual effects and computer-generated imagery (CGI) elements faster and at a lower price. It currently offers a plug-in that connects with professional 3D tools including Autodesk Maya and Blender to deliver character workflows.
According to May 23 data of the Serbian central registry of companies, Wonder Dynamics is 100%-owned by US-based Aether Media, Inc.
Wonder Dynamics was founded by visual effects artist Nikola Todorovic and actor Tye Sheridan in 2020.
