Austria's Kronospan sees 2012 turnover in Romania 15% up - media

BUCHAREST (Romania), October 5 (SeeNews) – Austrian wood-based panels maker Kronospan sees its turnover from Romanian operations rising by 15% this year, Bucharest-based daily Ziarul Financiar reported on Friday.

Last year, Kronospan had a turnover of 320 million euro ($416.2 million) in Romania, Ziarul Financiar (www.zf.ro) said.

“This year, exports have been on a rising trend, showing an increase of at least 20%,” Krosnospan Romania director general Oana Bodea said.

Kronospan’s turnover in Romania rose by around 12% in 2011, while its total loss shrank 15% to 16 million euro, Ziarul Financiar said.

Kronospan operates two production units in the central cities of Brasov and Sebes and a logistics centre in the Black Sea port of Constanta.
