December 3 (SeeNews) - Austrial logistics company Lagermax AED said it has officially opened a 3,700 square metre warehouse in Serbia's northern town of Simanovci.

Austrian Lagermax adds warehouse in Serbia's Simanovci

The project is the second phase of a 7,000 square metre hub, the company said in a statement on Friday.

Lagermax has invested close to 10 million euro ($12.9 million) in building and developing logistics capacities in Serbia so far, according to information on the company's website. "We have recognized this market as being unrivalled in the region, with a qualified workforce and competitive overheads," Aleksandra Potkonjak, head of Lagermax AED Serbia, said in October in an interwiew with the CorD magazine. This is why the company decided to invest further in developing its business in Serbia despite the crisis, she added.

Lagermax AED, part of Austria’s Lagermax Group, has operated in Serbia since 2006. Beside its headquarters in Belgrade-Simanovci, it has warehouses in Novi Sad, Nis, Paracin and Cacak.
