Atlantska Plovidba, Arena push lower Croatia's main equity indices

October 28 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost some 80% each on Friday on losses in shipping company Atlantska Plovidba and hotel owner and operator Arena Hospitality, bourse data showed.

The 19-share CROBEX fell 0.85% to finished at 1,924.11 points.

The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, declined 0.80% to close at 1,137.25 points.

Food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most traded company with turnover of 3.1 million kuna ($410,000412,000 euro). Its shares ended flat at 612 kuna following news that its normalised group net profit amounted to 268.7 million kuna in the first nine months of this year, up 3.4% on the year.

No other share registered a turnover above the one million kuna mark.

Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] was second by turnover with 942,000 kuna. Its shares shed 3.56% to end at 379 kuna.

Shares of Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] dropped 2.34% to close at 250 kuna in a turnover of 829,500 kuna, after they surged 4.92% on Thursday.

The bourse's regular trading turnover fell to 7.8 million kuna from 9.2 million kuna on Thursday.
