Arena, Podravka, Hrvatski Telekom push Croatia's main equity indices higher

December 20 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) slightly rose on Monday, supported by gains in Arena Hospitality, Podravka, and Hrvatski Telekom, bourse data showed.

The 18-share equity CROBEX added 0.06% to finish at 1,936.86 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, gained 0.16% to finish at 1,142.23 points.

In regular trading, hotel owner and manager Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] was the most traded company with a turnover of 2.1 million kuna ($295,000/279,000 euro). Its shares appreciated 1.77% to close at 230 kuna.

Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] ranked second by turnover with 1.5 million kuna, as they fell 0.55% to close at 360 kuna.

Among the other blue chips, shares of food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] gained 1.25% to 648 kuna in a turnover of 168,000 kuna and Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] rose 0.58% to 174.50 kuna in a turnover of 167,000 kuna.

In a 3.4 million kuna block deal, 46,500 shares of food producer Cakovecki Mlinovi [ZSE:CKML] changed hands at a price of 73.50 kuna per share.

However, the bourse's total trading turnover fell to 10.2 million kuna from 21.4 million kuna on Friday, when it was boosted by a 16 million kuna block deal.
