The new unit is located at Baneasa Shopping City in, northern Bucharest and employs 30, AmRest said in a press release.
"This year has been a challenging one for everyone, but we wanted to continue our strategic plan, as we promised. So, here we are opening the second restaurant in September and the fifth in the city. This comes as a result of the high demand for Burger King products in the Romanian market and we are also happy to see that the number of Burger King fans is growing," Burger King AmRest president Alan Laughlin said.
AmRest Holdings is a multi-brand franchise restaurant operator in Europe with a portfolio of 10 brands across 25 countries. It operates franchise brands such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Burger King, proprietary brands like Sushi Shop, La Tagliatella, Bacoa, Blue Frog and KABB, as well as virtual brand Pokai.
In Romania, AmRest operates the Starbucks coffee shop chain and, starting this year, the Burger King Restaurant chain.
