Allianz 9-mo operating profit from Croatian insurance ops down 17%

November 9 (SeeNews) - German financial services group Allianz said on Friday its operating profit from insurance operations in Croatia fell 17% to 10 million euro ($12.9 million) in the first nine months of 2012.

The operating profit of its property/casualty division in Croatia remained flat year-on-year at 8.0 million euro through September, Allianz said in its nine-month interim report posted on its website.

The nine-month operating profit on the life/health segment in Croatia amounted to 2.0 million euro, down from 4.0 million euro in the same period of 2011.

Gross written premiums from property/casualty in Croatia rose 4.4% to 71 million euro through September while statutory premiums from life/health insurance increased 11% to 40 million euro.
