October 8 (SeeNews) - Albania's September consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.8% month-on-month, after increasing by a monthly 0.6% in August, the National Statistics Office, INSTAT, said on Thursday.
On an annual basis, consumer price inflation was 2.0% in September, compared to 2.2% in August, INSTAT said in a monthly report.
Albania's CPI reached 103.2 points in September compared to its base of 100 points in December 2007. In September 2008 consumer prices rose by 1.1% on the month and were 2.7% higher on the year.
