February 26 (SeeNews) - Albanian construction firm Junik was awarded a 657 million leks ($6.7 million/6.3 million euro) contract by state-owned university Aleksander Xhuvani in the central city of Elbasan for the construction of a building for the needs of medicine students.
Junik won the price-based competition with an offer lower than the estimated budget of 738 million leks, the university said in a tender winner notice last week.
The tender winner is expected to complete the construction of a four-storey building with two underground floors within 16 months, the university said in a tender notice in December.
Established in 1995, Junik engages in civil engineering and construction, as well as trade in machinery, furniture manufacturing, security and hospitality, according to its website.
