April 2 (SeeNews) - Albania's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by an annual 3.44% in 2023, after increasing by 4.84% in 2022, the country's statistics office, INSTAT, said on Tuesday, quoting preliminary estimates.
In the fourth quarter of 2023 alone, the Albanian economy grew 3.8% compared with the prior-year period, after advancing 3.83% in the third trimester, INSTAT said in a quarterly report.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Albania's economy advanced by 0.79% in the October-December period.
The main contributors to the country's year-to-year economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2023 were construction activities, which saw 10.8% growth, public administration and professional services with a 10.78% growth, and real estate with 10.33%.
