Albanian Low-Cost Airline Belle Air Starts Tirana-Zagreb Flights

November 21 (SeeNews) - Albanian private low-cost carrier Belle Air said it has launched daily flights between Albania’s capital Tirana and the capital of Croatia, Zagreb.

The flights are three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Belle Air said in a statement posted on the ENP Newswire website.

Belle Air flies to 24 destinations. The company, set up in 2005, is the sole Albanian low-cost air carrier and was the second low-cost airline to start operations in the southeast European country.

Currently, 13 air carriers operate flights to and from Tirana on 33 international destinations. Belle Air, Alitalia and Albanian Airlines had the largest share in passenger traffic in the first six months of the year. Belle Air had a 31.5% market share, Alitalia controlled 19.4% of the market and Albanian Airlines held a 10.7% market share.
