Gross written premiums from non-life insurance rose by 9.67% on the year to 17.3 billion leks in the January-October period, while the life insurance segment reported an increase of 9.35% in premiums, to 1.5 billion leks, the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA) said in a data release.
Total gross claims paid decreased by 7.77% on the year to 5.7 billion leks in the review period.
The statistics comprise data from eight insurance companies operating in Albania.
