October 6 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of commercial banks in Albania totalled 349.4 billion leks ($3.93 billion/2.89 billion euro) at the end of July, up by 2.4% from a month earlier and 45.9% higher on the year, the country's central bank said on Monday.

At the end of 2007 the banks' credit portfolio totalled 287.6 billion leks, up by 0.6% on the year.
