Albanian Banks' End-Aug Loan Portfolio Rises 15.9% Y/Y

November 12 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of commercial banks in Albania amounted to some 423.3 billion leks ($4.6 billion/3.08 billion euro) at the end of August, 15.9% up from a year earlier, central bank statistics indicated.

On a monthly basis the banks' August credit portfolio was 1.0% higher.

At the end of 2008 the banks’ credit portfolio totalled 396.3 billion leks, 35% up on the year.
