December 10 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank said on Thursday it will auction 16.8 billion leks ($181.7 million/123.5 million euro) in six-month and twelve-month Treasury bills on December 15.
The Bank of Albania, which offers the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, will auction close to 9.0 billion leks of six-month T-bills and 7.8 billion leks worth of 12-month T-bills.
The six-month T-bills will mature on June 17 and the 12-month government paper will mature on December 16, 2010.
Albania's six-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 7.62% in the last auction held on November 17. The twelve-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 9.22% in the last auction held on December 2.
The Bank of Albania has auctioned Treasury bills worth 348.42 billion leks since the beginning of this year. It auctioned T-bills worth 373 billion leks in par value last year, compared to 386.83 billion leks in 2007.
