Albania To Auction 12.5 Bln Leks (90.9 Mln Euro) in 6-mo, 12-mo T-Bills on Nov 17

November 12 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank said on Thursday it will auction 12.5 billion leks ($135.8 million/90.9 million euro) in six-month and twelve-month Treasury bills on November 17.

The Bank of Albania, which offers the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, will auction 7.7 billion leks worth of six month T-bills and 4.8 billion leks worth of 12-month T-bills.

The six-month T-bills will mature on May 20 next year. The 12-month government paper will mature on November 18, 2010.

Albania's six-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 7.69% in the last auction held on October 13. The twelve-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 9.31% in the last auction held on November 3.

The Bank of Albania has auctioned Treasury bills worth 325.42 billion leks since the beginning of this year. It auctioned T-bills worth 373 billion leks in par value last year, compared to 386.83 billion leks in 2007.
