October 16 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank sold 2.0 billion leks ($21.7 million/14.5 million euro) in two-year Treasury notes at an auction on Thursday, the bank said.
Bidders sought to buy 3.2 billion leks worth of securities, the central bank, which sells government securities on behalf of the Finance Ministry, said in a statement.
The T-notes carry a coupon of 9.7%. The minimum achieved yield was 9.52% and the maximum was 9.7%. The T-notes' issue date is October 20.
The central bank has sold 24.7 billion leks worth of two-year T-notes since the beginning of the year. Last year the bank auctioned 27.5 billion leks worth of two-year T-notes. The bank issues two-year T-notes each month.
