Offers for the single-stage tender are expected until April 8, EBRD said in a procurement notice last week.

The endeavour is one of the components of the Regional and Local Roads Connectivity project, which is being co-financed by the EBRD through a $50 million loan (55 million euro), the EBRD has said earlier. The World Bank is also providing a $50 million loan for the project.

Besides the upgrade of the 10.6-kilometre Vlore-Orikum road, the project also involves the rehabilitation of a 13-kilometre road between Shengjin and Baks-Rjoll in the northwest as well as the upgrade and paving of a 47.1-kilometre road between Zgosht and Ura e Cerenecit in the central part of the country, according to EBRD's project profile.
