March 6 (SeeNews) - The Albanian Gas Service Company (AGSco), which is in charge of maintaining the natural gas Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) on Albanian territory, opened on Wednesday a waste management tender with a budget of 65 million leks ($681,000/626,000 euro).
Prospective bidders should be able to remove waste from AGSco and TAP’s locations, transport them to a licensed waste plant, process and dispose them in compliance with regulatory requirements from the contract signing until September 30, 2025, AGSco said in a tender notice.
Offers can be submitted until April 5.
TAP, a key segment of the Southern Gas Corridor, transports natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe through northern Greece, Albania, and the Adriatic Sea to southern Italy.
The Albanian government holds 75% of the Albanian Gas Service Company. The remaining stake is owned by Italian state energy infrastructure company Snam, according to the Albanian business register.
