March 19 (SeeNews) - Albania's information technology agency, AKSHI, announced on Tuesday the opening of a tender for the introduction of a centralized hardware infrastructure supporting the digital cloud system of government institutions - a project with a budget of 716 million leks ($7.5 million/7 million euro).
Prospective bidders are required to provide and set up hardware, install operating systems, configure networks, integrate with cloud services, ensure security, backup data, monitor performance, and provide training for the implemented infrastructure, all within a one-year timeframe, AKSHI said in a tender notice.
The project aims to modernize the government’s cloud hosting infrastructure, while also ensuring scalability for varying workloads, as well as enhancing disaster recovery capabilities.
The project is financed with state funds, AKSHI noted.
Offers can be submitted until April 18.
