June 6 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia said it carried a record high 372,638 passengers in May, up 11% compared to a year earlier.
This is the highest number of passengers Air Serbia has transported in May since 2013, when the company started operating under its current name, the air carrier said in a statement on Wednesday.
In May, Air Serbia operated a total of 3,869 flights from Belgrade, Nis and Kraljevo airports, up 4% on the year, the statement read.
In 2023, Air Serbia transported 4.19 million passengers, up 53% compared to 2022. The number of flights rose 44% compared to 2022.
In March, the company's director general, Jiri Marek, said that Air Serbia expanded its network by 23 new destinations last year and now services 87 routes to 34 countries across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.
