April 12 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier ToMontenegro, operating under the Air Montenegro brand, said it has launched a procurement process for the wet lease of one aircraft needed from June 1 to September 30.

The deadline for submission of bids expires on April 25, Air Montenegro said in a public invitation earlier this week, adding the best bidder will be selected 7 days after the bid opening.

The most favourable bid should offer the lowest lease rental per block hour and per diem. The payment schedule will be bi-weekly, according to the document.

Air Montenegro seeks to wet lease an aircraft type ATR72/CRJ900/F100/E190/E195/A319/A320/B737. It will be used for some 1,000 block hours during the whole lease period.

In February, Air Montenegro said it signed a wet-lease agreement for an Embraer E-190 aircraft with Ukraine’s Windrose Airlines, expanding its fleet for the summer season to four planes. It noted back then that the newly leased plane will join two Embraer E195 operated by Air Montenegro and one leased Airbus A320.

At the same time, earlier this month the company extended again its deadline for selecting the best bid in its October 2023 tender for taking two aircraft type ERJ 190-100/E190 or ERJ 190-200/E195 under long-term dry lease for a period of 42 to 72 months. The new deadline now ends on May 6.

The airline carried 480,000 passengers in 2023, up 30% on the previous year. It expects to carry about 650,000 passengers in 2024.
